The trio Silent Circle first performed in 1979 and they were met with considerable success but soon they parted away. In early 80s they met again and decided to form some solidified group. Hence, that marked the beginning of “Silent Circle”. Their first single, “Hide away ,man is coming” gained considerable limelight followed by a bunch of other successive singles like "Touch in the Night", "Stop the Rain in the Night", "Love is just a Word" and "Time for Love". In 1986 came their first album ‘No.1’ composed of eleven songs. All songs differentiated from each other and had a specific mood. The album was launched under the Blow Up label of Intercord Company. Meanwhile Harald Shaefer replaced Axel Breitung at public performances, and band's founder and leader devoted himself totally to writing and producing new songs.
But after that, Silent Circle gradually slowed down to everyone’s regret, and for a couple of years no new songs were released. However, 2 songs were written in 1987 and released as singles on Teldec. In 1990 came out another album from Silent Circle, containing in all, 10 songs, two being from 1987 and 2 being remixes. In 1993 another album of theirs called “Best Of Silent Circle” was released but contained only remixed and other versions of their old songs. In 1994 came out a new album called “Back”, containing 12 songs, all new. In 1998 they released a brand new album called "Stories 'bout Love" containing 12 new songs. In 2001 yet again another album called “Best of Silent Circle (2001)” holding a new single titled ‘For You plus Give Me Time', the rest being old songs. However the Silent Circle is not dead yet now, new chapters still to be written.
